I can't believe I've got loneliness, even here.
Rock music is stupid
and these people are cowards.
The sound guys are cowards.
Everyone gets to play one more song except
for the act which deserves to.
Most of the time
in New York it's like,
"we know what it would mean for us to dance
therefore it's as though we have danced already."
The people are tired of themselves.
They care more about being cute than about being people.

I thought about living in New York City, where all my friends migrated after school.
ReplyDeleteI came home from eight months backpacking in Europe, and I flew into the city. Six hours later, I was with five of my best friends in a booth in a tiny underground bar with an unmarked door and bronze walls and the drinks were ten dollars each and my friends were all ordering them and laughing too loud and complaining about their life paths and wearing bizarre clothes and I was like, "No way, man. I am not living here."
