tremulous

lions populate the bookshelf
while norwegian jesuses carry
the walls

it's a room with the occasional
victorian chalk drawing or bear
in a skeleton outfit, the plants

have miniature outbursts of
flower when watered
when sleepless the shells

echo, the plaid throw lights
a fire blue and red behind
the mardi graw beads at

the sash

it's in this dream she sleeps
and wakes to the room, or in this
room she sleeps and wakes
to the dream
